The Tabernacle Set Up With the Glory Cloud Aboveby KalebRosendahl

Exodus 26:3

The five curtains shall be coupled together one to another; and other five curtains shall be coupled one to another.

The specification is that five curtains were to be joined together one to another as one set, and another five curtains were to be joined together one to another as a second set. These coupled curtains formed the ceiling of the tabernacle. That tabernacle could be taken apart and borne with the Israelites in all their journeyings, yet it was a structure of extraordinary magnificence.

Its walls were upright boards heavily plated with purest gold. The sacred building was composed of two apartments separated by a rich and beautiful curtain or veil, with a similar veil closing the entrance of the first apartment. These veils, together with the curtain forming the ceiling, were of a variety of colors most beautifully arranged, and inwrought with threads of gold and silver were cherubim to represent the angelic host who are connected with the work of the heavenly sanctuary and who are ministering angels to the saints upon the earth. The skill and wisdom employed in building the tabernacle were gifts from God, to be used for His glory.
