Exodus 26:8

The length of one curtain shall be thirty cubits, and the breadth of one curtain four cubits: and the eleven curtains shall be all of one measure.

This measure of thirty cubits long by four cubits wide for each of the eleven curtains of one uniform size belongs to the specifications God gave Moses for building the tabernacle. It prescribes the size of the curtains that made that sacred dwelling both portable and magnificent, constructed so it could be taken apart and borne with Israel in all their journeyings. In that portable structure the walls were upright boards heavily plated with purest gold.

There were two apartments divided by a rich and beautiful curtain or veil, with a similar veil closing the entrance of the first apartment. The veils and the curtain forming the ceiling were of varied colors most beautifully arranged. That ceiling curtain and the veils were inwrought with threads of gold and silver in cherubim, to represent the angelic host connected with the work of the heavenly sanctuary as ministering angels to the saints upon the earth.

Its measurements were among the building directions repeated by Paul while working as a tentmaker. The skill, genius, and wisdom employed in the tabernacle's construction came from God and were to be used for His glory.
