Exodus 27:11
And likewise for the north side in length there shall be hangings of an hundred cubits long, and his twenty pillars and their twenty sockets of brass; the hooks of the pillars and their fillets of silver. And likewise for the north side in length there shall be hangings of an hundred cubits long, and his twenty pillars and their twenty sockets of brass; the hooks of the pillars and their fillets of silver.
The verse belongs to the detailed specifications for building the tabernacle, which Paul repeated to his fellow tentmakers. Those specifications present the ability exercised in that construction as skill and genius and wisdom bestowed by God. They present that endowment as given to be employed for the glory of God. In this way the north-side hangings, pillars, sockets, hooks, and fillets stand as part of an instruction in divinely given craftsmanship devoted to a divine purpose.
