Exodus 27:3
And thou shalt make his pans to receive his ashes, and his shovels, and his basons, and his fleshhooks, and his firepans: all the vessels thereof thou shalt make of brass. And thou shalt make his pans to receive his ashes, and his shovels, and his basons, and his fleshhooks, and his firepans: all the vessels thereof thou shalt make of brass.
The command concerning the utensils for the altar belongs to the detailed specifications God gave to Moses for constructing the tabernacle. It directed that the containers to receive ashes, the implements for handling fire and offerings, and the bowls and trays for service should all be fashioned from brass. The minuteness of such directions, together with the craftsmanship they required, shows that practical ability is not merely human invention. Skill, ingenuity, and wisdom exercised in manual work are gifts from God, entrusted to people to be employed for His glory.
