Exodus 36:36
And he made thereunto four pillars of shittim wood, and overlaid them with gold: their hooks were of gold; and he cast for them four sockets of silver. And he made thereunto four pillars of shittim wood, and overlaid them with gold: their hooks were of gold; and he cast for them four sockets of silver.
The verse belongs to the record of building the tabernacle, an undertaking that called for exacting skill and painstaking care in every detail. The four pillars of shittim wood overlaid with gold, with hooks of gold and sockets of silver cast for them, were made in obedience to the pattern God had shown to Moses. Nothing was left to human invention, for the workers were to follow the divine model precisely as revealed. That careful exactness stands as an example of the perfection God requires in every line of service rendered to Him.
