The Golden Lampstand in the SanctuaryBible World

Exodus 37:21

And a knop under two branches of the same, and a knop under two branches of the same, and a knop under two branches of the same, according to the six branches going out of it.

The detail belongs to the directions given to Moses for constructing the tabernacle and for the skilled workmanship that was to beautify the sanctuary. It specifies furnishings fashioned from solid gold, with their branches formed from the same metal as the piece itself rather than as separate attachments. The pattern of knops placed beneath each pair of branches fixes the arrangement of the six branches as they extend outward. That prescribed work was afterward faithfully executed by capable craftsmen.
