Craftsmen Build the Tabernacle Furnishingsby KalebRosendahl

Exodus 37:27

And he made two rings of gold for it under the crown thereof, by the two corners of it, upon the two sides thereof, to be places for the staves to bear it withal.

The instruction for the two gold rings was one small detail within God's larger direction to Moses for constructing the tabernacle and for the skillful workmanship that was to adorn the sanctuary. That direction specified how the sacred dwelling was to be made and beautified, leaving the pattern to divine appointment rather than human invention. The rings placed under the crown, by the corners and upon the sides to receive the staves for bearing, belonged to that ordered plan for holy service.

They were part of vessels of solid gold fashioned by skillful men working under divine direction. Women shared in the work by executing embroidery in silver and gold for the sanctuary adornment. This exact, God-given guidance for the sanctuary work was like His instruction to Noah for building the very large ark for the saving of himself and his family.
