Exodus 38:1
And he made the altar of burnt offering of shittim wood: five cubits was the length thereof, and five cubits the breadth thereof; it was foursquare; and three cubits the height thereof. And he made the altar of burnt offering of shittim wood: five cubits was the length thereof, and five cubits the breadth thereof; it was foursquare; and three cubits the height thereof.
The altar described is the brazen altar of burnt offering, whose construction is set forth in Exodus 38:1-2. It was made by Bezalel of shittim wood according to the stated length, breadth, and height. That same altar was afterward placed before the tabernacle at Gibeon, where Solomon and the congregation went to seek God. There Solomon offered a thousand burnt offerings upon it as an earnest request for divine help.
