Exodus 6:13
And the LORD spake unto Moses and unto Aaron, and gave them a charge unto the children of Israel, and unto Pharaoh king of Egypt, to bring the children of Israel out of the land of Egypt. And the LORD spake unto Moses and unto Aaron, and gave them a charge unto the children of Israel, and unto Pharaoh king of Egypt, to bring the children of Israel out of the land of Egypt.
The Lord gave Moses and Aaron a charge directed to two audiences, the children of Israel and Pharaoh king of Egypt. Their mission was to require Pharaoh to release Israel and bring them out of the land of Egypt. That commission stood firm even after the people had refused to listen to the promise of deliverance, for anguish of spirit and cruel bondage had overwhelmed them. Moses and Aaron were therefore to continue their appointed work despite the Israelites' failure to heed them.
