Ezekiel 10:12
And their whole body, and their backs, and their hands, and their wings, and the wheels, were full of eyes round about, even the wheels that they four had. And their whole body, and their backs, and their hands, and their wings, and the wheels, were full of eyes round about, even the wheels that they four had.
The verse belongs to a vision of a wheel within a wheel and living creatures that appears intricate and hard to explain. Their whole body, and their backs, and their hands, and their wings, and the wheels, even the four wheels, are full of eyes round about. The heavenly and earthly order, the machinery of heaven and earth, presents many faces at every wheel so that the Hand beneath the wheels can be seen. That Hand beneath the wheels, the Spirit of God, and the wisdom of God move and direct the wheels and the instrumentalities He has prepared, bringing perfect order and harmonious working out of confusion, with each wheel working in harmony with the others under His direction.
The vision shows the whole world is under God's control. Glorified beings stand ready at His word to restrain evil powers and policies and to bring good to His faithful people. The image of living wheels and wings is reflected in the heavenly cloudy chariot, for beneath it are wings and living wheels, and as the chariot rises the wheels cry Holy, joining the wings and the surrounding angels in praise to God. The wheels and wings move as the chariot rises, carrying the saints upward to the holy city.
