Ezekiel 10:14
And every one had four faces: the first face was the face of a cherub, and the second face was the face of a man, and the third the face of a lion, and the fourth the face of an eagle. And every one had four faces: the first face was the face of a cherub, and the second face was the face of a man, and the third the face of a lion, and the fourth the face of an eagle.
The four faces belong to a vision in which God's hand is directly governing His chosen agencies. That governing hand produces complete order, so that each instrument moves in exact agreement with the others. The complexity of the cherubic forms therefore displays harmonious operation rather than confusion, with every part fitted to do its appointed work.
