Ezekiel 11:23
And the glory of the LORD went up from the midst of the city, and stood upon the mountain which is on the east side of the city. And the glory of the LORD went up from the midst of the city, and stood upon the mountain which is on the east side of the city.
The glory rising from the midst of the city was the holy Shekinah departing from the first temple. It then stood upon the mountain on the east side of Jerusalem, pausing there as if reluctant to forsake the chosen city. That pause on the eastern height is paralleled by Christ standing on the Mount of Olives overlooking Jerusalem with a yearning heart.
