Ezekiel 16:29

The harlotry named here is unfaithfulness to God by departure from Him into multiplied alliances with heathen nations. It pictures Israel reaching beyond Canaan even unto Chaldea in pursuit of worldly power and political strength. That extended course did not satisfy, for appetite for forbidden confederacy only grew with indulgence. Such persistent disloyalty stands condemned as prostitution against the Lord.
