Ezekiel 17:21
And all his fugitives with all his bands shall fall by the sword, and they that remain shall be scattered toward all winds: and ye shall know that I the LORD have spoken it. The pronouncement declares the judgment that brought the theocracy to an end under Zedekiah. All his fugitives together with all his bands are to fall by the sword, while those who remain are to be scattered toward all winds. This destruction came because he had been made subject to the king of Babylon and had entered a solemn covenant before God to render allegiance, yet he broke that covenant. In that judgment the diadem is removed and the crown is taken off. The throne of the Lord is overturned and shall be no more until He comes whose right it is, to whom it will then be given.
