Ezekiel 19:6 belongs to the book's symbolic portrayal of a ruler under the figure of a young lion. Brought up and ranging among lions, he grows into a young lion in their company. Among them he learns to hunt and to catch prey. That learning ripens into devouring men, so that he becomes a destroyer of people.
