Ezekiel 20:42
And ye shall know that I am the LORD, when I shall bring you into the land of Israel, into the country for the which I lifted up mine hand to give it to your fathers. And ye shall know that I am the LORD, when I shall bring you into the land of Israel, into the country for the which I lifted up mine hand to give it to your fathers.
The setting of the verse is a recounting of the Lord's great acts for His people, set against their failure to appreciate His mercy or heed His warnings. In that setting the verse warns that the Lord will punish His people when they disregard His mercy and warnings. That disregard is aggravated guilt because it persists despite having received great light. The warning reaches to the people in Battle Creek, to whom it is directly applied.
