Ezekiel 21:24

Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Because ye have made your iniquity to be remembered, in that your transgressions are discovered, so that in all your doings your sins do appear; because, I say, that ye are come to remembrance, ye shall be taken with the hand.

The verse belongs to Ezekiel's warnings spoken before Jerusalem's destruction, forming part of twenty-two years of repeated pleading for Israel to turn to God. It declares that Judah's sins, transgressions, and doings had been discovered, exposed, and brought to remembrance. Because they had come to remembrance, the people would be taken with the hand, seized and carried into captivity.

It warns that Nebuchadnezzar would come against Jerusalem to conquer it after capturing Tyre, contrary to the false prophets who said he was not coming against Jerusalem. It points to the destruction of the kingdom of Judah and a change in human dominion. It shows that the children of Israel would be without a king during their dispersion.

After this fall, three more overturnings of dominion were to take place by Medo-Persia, by Grecia, and by Rome, and then Christ would come and the kingdom would be His. The exile was the harvest of wrongdoing, with idolatry joined to Sabbath desecration bringing their troubles and dispersion.
