Ezekiel 24:25

Also, thou son of man, shall it not be in the day when I take from them their strength, the joy of their glory, the desire of their eyes, and that whereupon they set their minds, their sons and their daughters,

The Hebrew word rendered as minds is nephesh, commonly translated soul, which can also be translated mind. The strength, the joy of glory, the desire of eyes, and that upon which minds are set, including sons and daughters, to be taken away in the day spoken of is the temple, the pride of life and the joy of heart that Israel would lose. Ezekiel's own suffering served as a sign of the suffering that would come upon the people when this loss occurred.
