Ezekiel 24:26

That he that escapeth in that day shall come unto thee, to cause thee to hear it with thine ears?

Ezekiel 24 belongs to a setting in which the prophet's hardships and losses serve as signs of the suffering coming upon Israel. His famine diet and enforced posture pictured the coming famine and captivity. The destruction of Jerusalem's temple and the death of his wife without public mourning pictured the people's coming loss and grief. The verse means that in the day of Jerusalem's destruction one who escaped would come to Ezekiel to report the fall so he would hear the news with his own ears.
