Ezekiel 24:3

Ezekiel 24:3 stands within a chapter where the prophet's own actions and sufferings are appointed as signs of what is to come upon Israel. Those signs foretell famine and captivity, together with the loss of Jerusalem and the temple. They further include the death of Ezekiel's wife, for whom he is forbidden to mourn aloud.
