Ezekiel 25:10

Unto the men of the east with the Ammonites, and will give them in possession, that the Ammonites may not be remembered among the nations.

Ezekiel 25:10 belongs to the judgment against Ammon in Ezekiel 25:1-11, one of Ezekiel's prophecies concerning the surrounding nations and the other nations. It is a specific prediction of destruction for a nation around Judah, showing that God punished peoples who mocked Jerusalem in its desolation. It predicts that the Ammonites and their land would be given into the possession of the men of the east, the people of the east, so that the Ammonites would no longer be remembered among the nations.

This judgment came because Ammon rejoiced at and mocked Judah and Jerusalem in its humiliation and desolation, including the desolation of God's sanctuary. In connection with this judgment, Rabbah, Ammon's capital, would become a stable for camels and a resting place for flocks. Its historical setting was Nebuchadnezzar's campaign against Ammon along with Idumea and Moab, which ended in their submission.

This prophecy against Ammon, with Ezekiel's other prophecies concerning the nations, has been fulfilled. That fulfillment is evident today.
