Ezekiel 26:12
And they shall make a spoil of thy riches, and make a prey of thy merchandise: and they shall break down thy walls, and destroy thy pleasant houses: and they shall lay thy stones and thy timber and thy dust in the midst of the water. And they shall make a spoil of thy riches, and make a prey of thy merchandise: and they shall break down thy walls, and destroy thy pleasant houses: and they shall lay thy stones and thy timber and thy dust in the midst of the water.
The words spoken against Tyre will meet a further fulfillment in the world as a warning. That warning reaches beyond the ancient city to the temptations that will press upon believers in later times. Satan will use bribery and commercialism to tempt those who have accepted the truth, seeking to turn gain into a snare. The danger includes games played to obtain property, which are in principle like gambling, and those who are drawn into such games will lose their bearings and bring reproach upon themselves.
