Ezekiel 26:7
For thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I will bring upon Tyrus Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon, a king of kings, from the north, with horses, and with chariots, and with horsemen, and companies, and much people. For thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I will bring upon Tyrus Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon, a king of kings, from the north, with horses, and with chariots, and with horsemen, and companies, and much people.
The description of Nebuchadnezzar as a king over other kings acknowledges his great worldly power and honor as ruler of Babylon. It marks the exceptional extent of his dominion, with many kings and peoples under his authority. That empire, though powerful, was only temporary and was destined to fall. Like all earthly kingdoms, it would give way to God's everlasting kingdom.
