Ezekiel 28:22
And say, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I am against thee, O Zidon; and I will be glorified in the midst of thee: and they shall know that I am the LORD, when I shall have executed judgments in her, and shall be sanctified in her. And say, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I am against thee, O Zidon; and I will be glorified in the midst of thee: and they shall know that I am the LORD, when I shall have executed judgments in her, and shall be sanctified in her.
Ezekiel 28:22 stands as a warning against rebellion. It declares that God is against Zidon. When He executes judgments in her, He will be glorified in the midst of her and sanctified in her, so that they shall know that He is the LORD. In its chapter context, Satan is presented as the actual king of Tyre because he fully controlled its government, showing that Satan works through human rulers and nations as his agents. The verse belongs to the account of Lucifer, whose self-exaltation shows how pride leads people to oppose God, an influence that will be repeated in present and future experience.
