Ezekiel 33:28
For I will lay the land most desolate, and the pomp of her strength shall cease; and the mountains of Israel shall be desolate, that none shall pass through. God would lay Israel's land most desolate as a judgment for the people's abominations. In that desolation the pomp of her strength would cease, with its pride and strength brought to an end. The mountains of Israel would lie so deserted that no one would pass through them or travel across them. This laying waste would make the people know and recognize that the Lord Himself had acted.
