Ezekiel 36:19
And I scattered them among the heathen, and they were dispersed through the countries: according to their way and according to their doings I judged them. And I scattered them among the heathen, and they were dispersed through the countries: according to their way and according to their doings I judged them.
God scattered Israel among the heathen nations and dispersed them through the countries. He judged them according to their way and according to their doings, that is by their conduct and their deeds. Their scattering into exile was that judgment upon them, coming after and because of their wicked way of life. While dispersed among the nations they took up practices that displeased God and profaned His holy name.
