Returned Israelites Sow and Gather on Restored Hillsby emmanuel_higgins

Ezekiel 36:30

And I will multiply the fruit of the tree, and the increase of the field, that ye shall receive no more reproach of famine among the heathen.

God will increase what grows on trees and what comes up from the soil, so that hunger ends and His people no longer bear the shame of famine before surrounding nations. That fruitfulness comes as part of His work of gathering His scattered people and bringing them back to their own land to rebuild it. He does this to clear and honor His own holy name, acting from mercy and not because His people have deserved it by their conduct. The order is first inward and moral, with cleansing from defilement and the gift of a new heart and a new spirit, and then outward, with the renewed yield of the land. Once restored, the people are brought to recall their old evil course and to abhor themselves for it.
