Ezekiel 38:16
And thou shalt come up against my people of Israel, as a cloud to cover the land; it shall be in the latter days, and I will bring thee against my land, that the heathen may know me, when I shall be sanctified in thee, O Gog, before their eyes.
The prophecy belongs to the latter days and to the latter years, and its fulfillment reaches to the present time. It is not confined to a distant past but stands as a latter-day word finding its realization now.
The rising like a cloud to cover the land is an advance into a land recovered from war and whose people have been gathered out of many peoples and out of the nations. Its object is the mountains of Israel, where those gathered ones dwell in safety. That gathering and entering work is now being done in foreign countries. It is being carried forward in a remarkable manner.
