Gog Rides at the Head of His Army Against Israelby emmanuel_higgins

Ezekiel 38:5

Persia, Ethiopia, and Libya with them; all of them with shield and helmet:

Persia, Ethiopia, and Libya are named as being with Gog, all of them furnished with shield and helmet as part of the company assembled unto him. That assembled host is the confederacy gathered around Gog as its center, with these three peoples joined to him in full military equipment. Their place is not isolated but belongs to the larger muster described in the chapter, where allied nations are drawn together with him.

This gathering belongs to the latter years, to the time when Gog is visited and advances into the land that has been brought back from the sword. That land is the territory gathered out of many peoples, set against the mountains of Israel, whose inhabitants have been brought forth out of the nations to dwell safely. The work portrayed in the thirty-eighth chapter is being carried on in foreign countries at the present time, and it is moving forward in a remarkable manner.
