Ezekiel 40:12
The space also before the little chambers was one cubit on this side, and the space was one cubit on that side: and the little chambers were six cubits on this side, and six cubits on that side. The space also before the little chambers was one cubit on this side, and the space was one cubit on that side: and the little chambers were six cubits on this side, and six cubits on that side.
The vision shows a man whose appearance was like brass standing in the gateway with a measuring reed in his hand to measure the whole building. He measured the great gate facing east and every small chamber, doorway, arch, and pillar, with every least item recorded by the reed's measurement. Within that survey the border before the small chambers was one cubit on this side and one cubit on that side, and the chambers themselves were six cubits on this side and six cubits on that side. Exact measuring thus extended even to the smallest spaces.
That exactness means true measure is everything, and true measure is the law of God itself. God puts that divine measure into people's smallest acts and dealings. By learning it and living it they are elevated, ennobled, and sanctified in heart and affection. They are thereby made faithful in the least in preparation for the glory to be revealed.
It is God's measurement of the person, calling for characters and works that measure life and things by God's exact standard. Honest and faithful dealing in a righteous life forms the whole righteous stature and structure.
