Ezekiel 40:13

He measured then the gate from the roof of one little chamber to the roof of another: the breadth was five and twenty cubits, door against door.

Ezekiel 40:13 records one span in a complete measuring of the house, where a man with an appearance like brass stands in the gate with a measuring reed and measures and records every smallest feature. Those features include the little chambers and doorways and arches and pillars and the great gate toward the east, and within that survey is the breadth of the gate from roof to roof between the chambers. The measuring shows that God's exact measurement reaches every smallest part of His house, down to that breadth from the roof of one little chamber to the roof of another, door against door, twenty-five cubits.

That true measure is the very law of God brought into the least of human acts and dealings, the spiritual measure of the person. Learning and living it makes people faithful in the least, elevated and ennobled and sanctified in heart and affection. It fits them to live and rule among the greatest and to be entrusted with the divine cause.

Those so measured take the power and grace brought through Jesus Christ to build character after the divine model for the glory to be revealed. That character is loving God supremely and neighbor as self. After the measuring the glory of God comes in, and the pattern must be shown to Israel so they may be ashamed of their iniquities and measure the pattern. For the law of the house upon the top of the mountain is most holy.

What is now needed is people whose characters and works measure life and things by God's exact measurement. A righteous life in honest faithful dealings builds up the whole righteous stature and structure.
