Ezekiel 40:29

And the little chambers thereof, and the posts thereof, and the arches thereof, according to these measures: and there were windows in it and in the arches thereof round about: it was fifty cubits long, and five and twenty cubits broad.

The verse is one part of the exact measuring of God's house by the man whose appearance was like brass standing in the gate with a reed in his hand. Every least detail was measured and recorded according to the reed. That included the little chambers and doorways and archways and pillars and windows and the great gate toward the east, with windows round about in the gatehouse and its arches, fifty cubits long and twenty-five cubits broad.

True measure is everything because it is the very law of God brought into the least of human acts and dealings. By learning and living it people become faithful in the least and are elevated, ennobled and sanctified. The spiritual measure is God's measure of the person: to love God supremely and the neighbor as self, to live a righteous life in honest and faithful dealings, and to build character after the divine model through the power and grace brought through Jesus Christ. This measuring prepares for the glory to be revealed when the glory of God enters, and displays the pattern to shame iniquity, for this is the law of the house that upon the top of the mountain its whole limit shall be most holy.
