Ezekiel and the Man of Bronze Measure the Templeby emmanuel_higgins

Ezekiel 40:3

And he brought me thither, and, behold, there was a man, whose appearance was like the appearance of brass, with a line of flax in his hand, and a measuring reed; and he stood in the gate.

The man whose appearance is like brass stands in the gate with a line of flax in his hand and a measuring reed. He takes his place there to begin the exact measurement of the house and of all its parts. The measurements are set down to the smallest detail. They present God's precise measure, which is the standard for character and conduct.
