Ezekiel 40:33

And the little chambers thereof, and the posts thereof, and the arches thereof, were according to these measures: and there were windows therein and in the arches thereof round about: it was fifty cubits long, and five and twenty cubits broad.

The vision shows a man with an appearance like brass standing in the gate with a measuring reed in his hand to measure the whole building. Every least item is recorded according to that measurement by the reed. That includes the little chambers and the doorways and the arches and the pillars, as well as the great gate looking toward the east.

True measure is everything, and that true measure is the very law of God. God puts that law into the least of human acts and dealings. By learning it and living it people are elevated and ennobled and sanctified. By it they are made faithful in the least, even in a mere measure of wheat.

Spiritually understood, the measuring is God's measure of the person. It calls for love to God supremely and for love to neighbor as self. This is the whole duty of man.

The measure calls for building character after the divine model by the power and grace brought through Jesus Christ. That building is in preparation for the glory to be revealed. It is shown in a righteous life of honest, faithful dealings. Such dealings make up the whole righteous stature and structure.
