Ezekiel 40:36
The little chambers thereof, the posts thereof, and the arches thereof, and the windows to it round about: the length was fifty cubits, and the breadth five and twenty cubits. The little chambers thereof, the posts thereof, and the arches thereof, and the windows to it round about: the length was fifty cubits, and the breadth five and twenty cubits.
In the vision a man with the appearance of brass stands in the gate with a measuring reed in his hand, measuring the whole building and recording every smallest detail. That exact reckoning includes the little chambers, the posts and doorways, the arches and pillars, and the windows round about. It includes the great gate facing toward the east, whose length is fifty cubits and whose breadth is five and twenty cubits. The measuring is one exact measurement throughout, leaving out no least item.
That exact measuring is God's true spiritual measure, which is His law placed upon even the least of human acts and dealings. It requires faithfulness in the least, shown in honest and faithful dealing. By that exact measurement a person builds character after the divine model through the power and grace brought through Jesus Christ. So measured, the person becomes elevated and ennobled, sanctified in heart and affection, and a true person of full righteous stature and structure. This prepares the person for the glory of God to enter and to be revealed, to live and rule among the greatest, and to be entrusted with the divine cause.
