Ezekiel 41:12
Now the building that was before the separate place at the end toward the west was seventy cubits broad; and the wall of the building was five cubits thick round about, and the length thereof ninety cubits. Now the building that was before the separate place at the end toward the west was seventy cubits broad; and the wall of the building was five cubits thick round about, and the length thereof ninety cubits.
The seventy by ninety cubit building before the separate place toward the west, with its five-cubit-thick wall round about, is one exact measurement among all the measurements taken by the man whose appearance was like brass as he stood in the gate with a reed in his hand. He measured the whole building, the little chambers and doorways and arches and pillars, the great gate toward the east and the building before the separate place toward the west, with every least item recorded according to the reed. That exactness shows that true measure is everything, for it is the very law of God to be put into the least of acts and dealings. Learning it and living it elevates and ennobles and sanctifies the heart and affections.
Spiritually the measure is God's measure of the man, in which a righteous life in honest and faithful dealing makes up the whole righteous stature and structure. By it character is built up after the divine model through the power and grace brought by Jesus Christ. After the measuring was finished the glory of God came in, and the pattern of the house is to be shown to the house of Israel that they may be ashamed of their iniquities and measure the pattern. For this is the law of the house, that upon the top of the mountain its whole limit round about shall be most holy.
