Ezekiel 41:15
And he measured the length of the building over against the separate place which was behind it, and the galleries thereof on the one side and on the other side, an hundred cubits, with the inner temple, and the porches of the court; And he measured the length of the building over against the separate place which was behind it, and the galleries thereof on the one side and on the other side, an hundred cubits, with the inner temple, and the porches of the court;
The hundred cubits of the galleries on either side, with the inner temple and the porches of the court, is one recorded detail in a complete and exact measuring of God's house. A man with the appearance of brass stood in the gate with a measuring reed in his hand and measured the whole building, chamber by chamber, doorway by doorway, with its arches and pillars and the great gate facing east, until every least item was set down. True measure is everything, for it is the very law of God brought to bear upon even the smallest acts and dealings of human life.
By learning that law and living it, men and women are elevated and ennobled and sanctified in heart and affection, made faithful in the least and fitted to live and rule among the greatest. The power and grace brought through Jesus Christ enable them to build character after the divine model. To love God supremely and one's neighbor as oneself is the whole duty of man, and that spiritual measure is God's measure of a person. What is needed is men and women whose characters and works measure life and things by God's exact measurement, for a righteous life of honest, faithful dealing builds up the whole righteous stature and structure, in contrast to the false signs and false values men have set up in place of God, by which true men are not appreciated.
