Ezekiel 41:16

The door posts, and the narrow windows, and the galleries round about on their three stories, over against the door, cieled with wood round about, and from the ground up to the windows, and the windows were covered;

The verse is one part of the exact measurement of God's house, where the door posts and the narrow windows and the galleries round about on their three stories, over against the door, were measured with the reed, cieled with wood round about, and every least detail was recorded from the ground up to the windows. True measure is everything, because it is the very law of God carried into the least of human acts and dealings, and it is God's spiritual measure of the person. Learning and living that measure elevates and ennobles and sanctifies the heart and affections, making a person faithful in the least, fit to live and rule among the greatest, and worthy to be entrusted with the divine cause.

That result comes by taking the power and grace brought through Jesus Christ and by the will of God building character after the divine model in preparation for the glory to be revealed. The measurement calls the house of Israel to be ashamed of its iniquities and to measure the pattern, because the law of the house upon the top of the mountain is most holy. The verse now requires people whose characters and works measure life and things by God's exact measurement, loving God supremely and neighbor as self as the whole duty of man, so that a righteous life in honest, faithful dealings builds up the whole righteous stature and structure.
