Ezekiel and the Man of Bronze Measure the Templeby emmanuel_higgins

Ezekiel 41:21

The posts of the temple were squared, and the face of the sanctuary; the appearance of the one as the appearance of the other.

The vision places a man whose appearance was like brass at the temple with a measuring reed in his hand, taking and recording the exact measurement of the whole building down to every least item. His measuring embraces all the little chambers and doorways and arches and pillars, together with the great gate looking toward the east. That exactness shows that true measure is everything, and that measure is the very law of God. God puts that law into the least of men's acts and dealings, so that by learning it and living it they may be elevated and ennobled and sanctified. In this way they become faithful in the least and build up a character after the divine model. The spiritual measure is God's measure of the man, in which a righteous life in honest, faithful dealing makes up the whole righteous stature and structure.
