Ezekiel 41:4
So he measured the length thereof, twenty cubits; and the breadth, twenty cubits, before the temple: and he said unto me, This is the most holy place. So he measured the length thereof, twenty cubits; and the breadth, twenty cubits, before the temple: and he said unto me, This is the most holy place.
The twenty cubits of length and twenty cubits of breadth before the temple mark the most holy place, set within a complete measuring of the whole building with a reed in which every little chamber and doorway and arch and pillar and the great gate toward the east and every smallest detail was measured and recorded. That measuring shows that true measure is everything and is the very law of God, and that the spiritual measure is God's measurement of a person. God places His law upon even the least acts and dealings of people, so that by learning it and living it they are elevated and ennobled and sanctified in heart and affection. By that same dealing they are made faithful in the least and fitted to live and rule among the greatest.
By that law they build character after the divine pattern through the power and grace provided through Jesus Christ, in preparation for the glory to be revealed. The twenty by twenty measure therefore calls for people whose characters and works measure life and all things by God's exact measurement. There a righteous life of honest, faithful dealing forms the whole righteous stature and structure.
