Ezekiel 42:15
Now when he had made an end of measuring the inner house, he brought me forth toward the gate whose prospect is toward the east, and measured it round about. Now when he had made an end of measuring the inner house, he brought me forth toward the gate whose prospect is toward the east, and measured it round about.
In its setting the verse marks the finishing of the measuring of the inner house, when he is brought out toward the gate whose prospect is toward the east and measures it round about. It belongs to extended directions given through several chapters regarding the buildings that were to be prepared.
The measuring is done by a man with the appearance of brass with a reed in his hand, who measures the whole building and records every least item. That record includes all the little chambers and doorways and arches and pillars and the great gate looking toward the east. The exact measurement is the very law of God, the standard by which God measures everything. It is God's spiritual measure of the person, put into the least of acts and dealings and requiring faithfulness in the least. That faithfulness is loving God supremely and the neighbor as self, and through the power and grace brought through Jesus Christ character is built after the divine model to be elevated, ennobled, sanctified, and prepared for the glory to be revealed.
The verse also shows that God gives practical plans for building work and stands ever ready to help both white and colored people when matters are handled as they should be. That help includes providing suitable employment for colored believers in various industries such as the manufacture of health foods. It includes placing them in healthful locations under men and women taught of God.
