Ezekiel 42:4

And before the chambers was a walk of ten cubits breadth inward, a way of one cubit; and their doors toward the north.

Ezekiel 42:4 belongs to the Lord's directions for the buildings to be prepared, given as part of a vision in which every part of the house, including its chambers and passages, is measured and recorded by an exact standard. Its detailed measurements show that God's measure extends to every least item, leaving nothing unmeasured or unrecorded. The house thus measured provides a pattern whose law is holiness. These building directions show that the Lord plans and provides guidance for His work.

That same exactness applies to human character and conduct, so that a righteous life is formed by faithful dealings that measure up to God's standard.
