Ezekiel 42:7

And the wall that was without over against the chambers, toward the utter court on the forepart of the chambers, the length thereof was fifty cubits.

The verse belongs to extended directions given across several chapters about the buildings that were to be prepared. It records the exact measurement of the outer wall opposite the chambers toward the outer court on the front of the chambers, giving its length as fifty cubits. The measuring reed records every least chamber, doorway, arch, pillar, gate, and wall, because true measure is everything and is the very law of God.

The building directions show God as the planner of building work. Spiritually, God puts His law into the least of human acts and dealings, so that by learning and living it people are elevated, ennobled, and sanctified in heart and affection, become faithful in the least, build character after the divine model in preparation for glory, and love God supremely and their neighbor as themselves. God's spiritual measure is His measure of the person, and a righteous life of honest, faithful dealing forms the whole righteous stature and structure. The directions teach that God is always ready to help both white and colored people when matters are handled as they should be, which applies to providing suitable employment for colored brethren in various industries including the manufacture of health foods and to placing them in healthful locations under godly-taught men and women.
