Ezekiel 44:12

Because they ministered unto them before their idols, and caused the house of Israel to fall into iniquity; therefore have I lifted up mine hand against them, saith the Lord GOD, and they shall bear their iniquity.

The verse deals with Levites who ministered to the people in the presence of their idols and thereby caused the house of Israel to fall into iniquity, holding those ministers accountable for their share in that unfaithfulness. Because they had led the people into sin in this way, God lifted up His hand against them in solemn judgment, declaring that they should bear their iniquity and carry their own guilt. That sentence stripped them of the privilege of acting as priests and of coming near to the holy things. In place of that priestly access they were set to other subordinate duties to be performed in the sanctuary.
