Ezekiel 44:16
They shall enter into my sanctuary, and they shall come near to my table, to minister unto me, and they shall keep my charge. They shall enter into my sanctuary, and they shall come near to my table, to minister unto me, and they shall keep my charge.
The promise belongs to the sons of Zadok, who held fast in loyalty when Israel as a whole went astray, and for that steadfastness they are granted entrance into the sanctuary, access to come near the table, the privilege of ministering, and the trust of keeping the charge. Their accepted ministry is set in direct contrast to the Levites who had proved unfaithful and therefore lost that nearness. The distinction shows that service before God is granted only on the ground of fidelity and holiness in those who serve Him.
