Ezekiel 5:14
Moreover I will make thee waste, and a reproach among the nations that are round about thee, in the sight of all that pass by. Moreover I will make thee waste, and a reproach among the nations that are round about thee, in the sight of all that pass by.
The verse belongs to the first twenty chapters of Ezekiel, given during his ministry among the captives in Babylonia by the river Chebar, while Jeremiah was prophesying in Jerusalem. It declares that Jerusalem would be made waste and desolate. It would become a reproach and an object of scorn among the nations round about it. That ruin and reproach would stand exposed in the sight of all who passed by.
