Violence is risen up into a rod of wickedness: none of them shall remain, nor of their multitude, nor of any of theirs: neither shall there be wailing for them. Violence grown into a rod of wickedness belongs to a prophecy of sword, famine, pestilence and great confusion coming upon the land. Those judgments fall at the commencement of the time of trouble. At that same time the Sabbath is proclaimed more fully in the power of the Holy Spirit, the hearts of God's waiting saints are united upon it, and those of God's chosen who see clearly that they have the truth come out to endure persecution with them. The wicked lay the blame for these judgments upon those who keep the Sabbath.
