Ezekiel 7:12
The time is come, the day draweth near: let not the buyer rejoice, nor the seller mourn: for wrath is upon all the multitude thereof. The time is come, the day draweth near: let not the buyer rejoice, nor the seller mourn: for wrath is upon all the multitude thereof.
The coming of the time and the nearness of the day point to the time of trouble, a period marked by sword, famine, pestilence, and great confusion throughout the land. The wrath resting on the whole multitude means that buyer and seller stand on the same ground under judgment, so the one has no cause to celebrate a bargain and the other has no cause to grieve a loss. That outpouring follows a fuller proclamation of the Sabbath in the power of the Holy Spirit.
The fuller Sabbath proclamation stirs the anger of the church and of nominal Adventists, who are enraged precisely because they are unable to overthrow the Sabbath truth. In that crisis God's chosen ones recognize the truth, separate themselves, and share persecution alongside the saints. At the same time the wicked accuse the saints of causing the judgments to fall upon them.
