This brief genealogy of the Hivite, the Arkite, and the Sinite belongs to an authentic account of the origin of nations and the history of the human race that is untainted by human pride or prejudice. The Scriptures that contain it stand without rival as an educator, forming the most ancient and the most comprehensive history possessed by humanity. They come fresh from the Fountain of eternal truth, and their purity has been preserved throughout the ages by a divine hand.
They light up the far-distant past where human research seeks in vain to penetrate. They alone bear witness to the power that laid the foundations of the earth and stretched out the heavens.
