And the sons of Ham; Cush, and Mizraim, and Phut, and Canaan.
Genesis 10:6 belongs to the Bible's account of the origin of nations and of human history as an authentic record preserved in Scripture. That history is the most ancient and the most comprehensive history possessed by humanity, come fresh from the fountain of eternal truth with its purity preserved through the ages by a divine hand. It is kept in Scripture as the trustworthy record of human history. It lights up the far-distant past where human research in vain seeks to penetrate, and beholds the power that laid the foundations of the earth and stretched out the heavens. It alone gives the authentic account of the origin of nations and the only history of the human race unsullied by human pride or prejudice.
